Cessna 208B Super Cargomaster

The Cessna 208 Caravan is a single-engine utility aircraft produced by Cessna. In 1981 Cessna decided to pursue the development of a new, single-engine aircraft with larger payload. The airframe featured a tricycle landing gear, airstairs on the right side and a large cargo door on the left. The Cessna 208 was available with several configurations, depending on whether it was to be utilised for passenger or cargo transportation. In 1984 a new freighter variant was submitted to FedEx, designated the name 208B Cargomaster, which was later extended and installed with a sub-fuselage cargo pod, marketed as the 208B Super Cargomaster.
