Bell 430

The Bell 430 is an American light, twin-engine helicopter developed and manufactured by Bell Helicopter. While designing the new Bell 230 based on the predecessing Bell 222 in 1991, Bell also commenced preliminary design of an extended variant, which later got designated the name Bell 430. Launched in 1992, the Bell 430 was made with several improved features over the 230, these including the new four-blade, composite main rotor, and better optimalisation of the Rolls-Royce 250-C40B engines, achiving 10% more power. Other smaller changes include the extended fuselage, facilitating for additional passenger seating and modified variants with either skids or retractable wheeled undercarriage.
