Shorts 330

Shorts 330 Ground Power EquipmentThe Shorts 330 (also known as SD3-30) is a small turboprop transport aircraft produced by Short Brothers based in Belfast. The Short 330 was based on an earlier model, the Short Skyvan. The 330 retained the general structure of the Skyvan, with an elongated fuselage and wingspan in order to facilitate for up to 30 passengers. Just like its predecessor, the 330 had short take-off and landing capabilities, and had the unusual concept of storing fuel just above the cabin, in dedicated fuel tanks. The finalised production model, introduced in 1976 was affordable, and cost-effective in regards to both maintenance and operation.
