Sabreliner 70 Series

The North American Sabreliner, (later Rockwell Sabreliner) is a mid-sized business jet, developed by North American Aviation. The design was submitted as a proposal for a requirement announced by the United States Air Force. This aircraft was named T-39A, a military variant exclusively. The initial civilian series were designated the Sabreliner 40 name, featuring a spacious cabin and powered by General Electric JT12A turbojet engines. A later addition to the family was the Series 70, which had a lenghtened fuselage, which was also made taller for a more comfortable cabin.
