Piper Pawnee Pa25

The PA-25 Pawnee was a single-engine agricultural aircraft introduced in 1959, and produced by Piper Aircraft until 1981. The design for the PA-25 Pawnee was comprised by Fred Weick, following Piper Aircaft’s proposal to develop a dedicated agricultural aircraft. The initial model received the AG-3 designation, then renamed the PA-25 Pawnee once test flights proved successful, powered by the Lycoming O-320-A2A engine. The PA-25 Pawnee and its later variants remain widely utilised in agriculture, for spraying and seeding operations, while a number are applied as tugs, tow planes and glider launchers.
