The Gulfstream V is a long-range, large-size business jet aircraft developed and produced by Gulfstream Aerospace. The Gulfstream V was the company’s first ultra-long range business jets when it entered service in 1997. The design was based on the predecessing Gulfstream IV, with improved performance and aerodynamics. The fuselage and wings were extended to create the new aircraft, which featured supercritical wing configuration, and had a much roomier cabin. The Gulfstream V’s performance was excellent amongst the contemporary business jets of the era, leading to an increasing demand for the aircraft in the aviation market. A number of aircrafts produced were utilised in military roles, under the designation C-37A.
