Gulfstream II

The Gulfstream II (company designation G-1159) is an American twin engine business jet designed and built by Grumman commencing 1967, later taken over by Grumman American and finally Gulfstream American. Loosely based on the Gulfstream I, the design comprises of swept-wing, Fowler flap and aft-mounted Rolls-Royce Spey engines. While developing the aircraft, the company kept great focus on ensuring that the performance and reliability of the Gulfstream II is not compromised, resulting in a promising design that was predicted to compete with such aircrafts as the Lockhhed JetStar or Dassault Falcon 20.
