Fokker 27

The Fokker F27 Friendship is a turboprop regional airliner developed and manufactured by Fokker. The aircraft was deeloped in the 1950, and was intended to replace the piston-engined airliners dominating the aviation market at the time, including the Douglas DC-3. Following the establishment of various designs, Fokker had finalised development for the F27 Friendship, utilising the more advanced Rolls-Royce Dart powerplants and a pressurized cabin, which made the travelling a more comfortable experience for passengers. The Fokker became successful in the market after its introduction in 1958, and remains one of the most successful European airliners of its era.
