Eurocopter Sa365 N2

The Eurocopter AS365 Dauphin, also known as the Aérospatiale SA 365 Dauphin 2, is a medium twin-engine helicopter, originally developed and produced by Aérospatiale, becoming part of Eurocopter during the 1990s. The AS365 Dauphin 2 was a more successful direct derivative from its predecessor, the SA 360 Dauphin which had not sold well in the market. The firm came to the conclusion that a twin-engine rotorcraft would be more suited to the military and civil requirements, so started developing a version with a pair of Turbomeca Arriel turboshaft engines. The SA 365 performed significantly better in high ambient climate and higher altitudes than the previous model. A later variant, introduced in the family in 1990, was the SA 365 N2, an improved performance version utilising a single upgraded Arriel 1C2 engine, as well as featuring a re-designed cabin configuration.
