Eurocopter Ec135 Pi

The Eurocopter EC135 (now Airbus Helicopters H135) is a civil light utility helicopter, produced by Eurocopter. The EC135 was initially developed by Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm, under the Bo 108 designation, which was intended as a tecnology demonstrator based on the Bo 105. The new design featured new aerodynamics, and the pioneer innovation, the hingeless rotor. This prototype flown first in 1988, and following a few years of the plans being put on hold, it received the EC135 designation, after the project was re-established in 1994. The EC135 entered service in 1996, and was utilised as emergency responder and military flight training aircraft, while also used for corporate transport, and offshore wind support. The EC135 P1 was the first variant in the line, powered by Pratt & Whitney Canada PW206B, and installed with CPDS.
