Diamond Aircraft DA20-A1

The Diamond DA20 A1 Katana is a two-seat light aircraft, introduced in 1993 and became used mainly in flight schools. The original model was dubbed DV20, which utilises several features from the earlier Diamond HK36 Super Dimona. In order to meet the needs for the aircraft in North America, productions have been transferred to a Canadian facility, this is when the model had been re-named DA20. The DA20-A1 name was designated to the initial models built in Canada, utilising a Rotax 912 powerplant, and with the initial production model introduced in 1999. The design of this model comprised of a composite material construction in a single-engine, low-wing and T-tail configuration, offering excellent visibility from its bubble canopy, making the DA20-A1 a perfect choice for flight training.
