The Cessna Citation CJ1 is a light business jet, powered by twin Williams FJ44-1A engines. The design had been derived from the Citation II, with amendments such as a new carry-through section, T-tail and straight wings. Contrarily to its predecessor, the CitationJet, the Cessna Citation CJ1 had featured modern EFIS avionics system, as well as an increased MTOW. A later addition to the family was the Model 525, marketed under the M2 designation with improved performance and avionics. The uprated Williams FJ44 engines provided a higher cruise speed, as well as a smoother flying experience. The M2 received contemporary Garmin G3000 avionics, and proved to be a success in the aviation market.
