The original Beechcraft Model 18 is a twin-engined light aircraft, manufactured by the Beech Aircraft Corporation. The model 18 featured an all-metal construction, tailwheel landing gear, and twin radial engines, and was available with a series of configuration, depending on what role they would need to be utilised for. These include commercial uses such as skydiving, aerial-spraying or ambulance services, as well as modifications for military operation. A number of military variants of the Model 18 were designated as the C-45 Expeditor for the United States Army Air Forces, these were equipped for an extended MTOW.
