Agusta Westland Westland Aw189

The AgustaWestland AW189 is a twin-engined, medium-lift helicopter manufactured by AgustaWestland (now Leonardo S.p.a.). The AW189 was derived from a few predecessing models, mainly based on the AW149, but also bearing similar aspects to the AW139 and AW169. The finalised design was primarily intended as a civil utility aircraft, however steps were taken to facilitate for a variety of operations. This includes advanced avionics as well as the unique feature of the main gearbox designed to provide for a 50-minute run-dry capacity. The AW189 is powered by two General Electric CT7-2E1 turboshaft engines.
